Hamill Tables: Fine Knoll Table Reproductions

Our Hamill collection features quality reproductions of the classic Knoll table design from 1961 - the 2480 Pedestal Table Desk by esteemed American architect and designer, Florence Knoll Bassett.

Born in 1917, Florence studied under some of the greatest 20th century architects, including Gropius, Breuer, and Mies. She married Hans Knoll in 1946 and together they formed and grew their Knoll business into an internationally recognized authority of style and design.

Knoll is famous for her philosophy of "total design" – an approach of embracing architecture, interior design, graphics, textiles, manufacturing, advertising and presentation – that was revolutionary in the 1950s, but caught on to become an industry standard for today. Her Knoll table concept came about from seeking to create a better work space, saying: "I needed the piece for a job and it wasn’t there, so I designed it."

The distinctive features of her furniture pieces are sleek silhouettes and geometries, evident in the affordable replica Knoll table designs available here at Maxwell Blake. Set upon a signature star base, the frame and legs are heavy gauge welded steel in a polished chrome finish. The desk tables are available with either a large oval or smaller round table top crafted in marble, solid American walnut, or custom wood veneer finishes.

With their perfectly proportioned and flawlessly detailed designs, these versatile Knoll table reproductions are equally at ease in home or executive offices, conference or dining rooms.
